Activists come from every part of our union. Some may have five minutes to spare each week.
Others help organise campaigns. Some may simply encourage colleagues to join.
Every contribution strengthens Aegis the Union.

Becoming an activist for Aegis the Union means speaking to colleagues about Aegis,
welcoming new members, encouraging participation in union activities, and helping build membership across your workplace.

Anyone who wants to make a difference in their workplace can become an activist. You don’t need previous union experience, as we will provide activist specific training.
You don’t need to be outspoken, and don’t need to become a workplace representative either.
You need to have good interpersonal skills to be able to build strong and reliable professional relationships with your fellow employees.
It is important to be able to communicate well across the board, from fellow employees, senior management, and other union staff members.
