Understanding GDPR: Sessions in Edinburgh

Do you know what kind of personal information companies collect on their employees and how that information is processed?

The European Union's GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) comes into force in the UK on 25th May 2018, replacing the Data Protection Act 1998. This new data protection regulation will bring in stricter obligations that employers have to comply with when collecting and processing personal data of employees. Click here to read an overview of the changes on ACAS website.

Aegis remains committed to working together with businesses to support members' rights in the workplace, including rights regarding personal data. In collaboration with Aegon and with funding from Scottish Union Learning, Aegis Union Learning will run informative workshops on GDPR in Aegon Edinburgh offices.

Come along to one of our sessions to find more about GDPR and how your personal data is used; contact mariaclark@aegisunionlearn.co.ukto enquire the dates and times of the sessions and reserve your spot.

Sessions are open to everyone, so do encourage your non-member colleague to join you!
