Job/position:
Senior Customer Services Representative,
IPP Claims 2

What does your job with AEGON involve?
I deal with the settlement of policyholders' retirement benefits, setting up annuities and paying out their tax-free cash lump sums.

What do you like best about it?
I really enjoy working closely with my team to ensure that the benefits out quickly and I get a lot of satisfaction from doing the best job we possibly can for our customers.

What do you think makes you good at it?
When I say I'm going to do something, I do it. Reliability is paramount in my job and I take it very seriously.

How can you use this strength to benefit/help our members?
When members come to me for help, they can be assured I'll treat them in the same way as I would treat any external customer - with professionalism and respect, as well as empathy and understanding of their situation.

What's the most important thing about being a union Rep as far as you're concerned?
It's so important that all members' voices are heard and their opinions are taken forward and acted on where possible. It's also important to me to be available to our members when they need support and advice.

Have you ever ...

... thought of becoming active in your union? There are several areas of the business where we need Reps, but you don't have to become a Rep to get involved. Speak to us to find out more!
